With a dream of emulating the close-harmony guy groups of the 1950s, like The Four Aces and The Four Freshman, a quartet of high school chums create their own group, The Plaids. Their dreams of recording an album end when the car they’re driving in to their first professional gig collides with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles‘ American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. This is where our story begins as our boys are granted one final wish to return to perform the show they never got to do in life. In addition to the hilarious script, the show includes such immortal hits as “Three Coins in the Fountain,” “Moments to Remember,” “No, Not Much,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Heart and Soul,” “Shangri-La,” and “Love is a Many Splendored Thing.”
